Hi Markus,

thanks but I haven't had time to work on core-renamer for months and it doesn't look like it's getting any better.

Cheers

Hi Chris,

great App!

Just one question / feature request:
What I really need is inserting (or replacing) numbers which are huge! E.G. I like to rename my photos starting with DSC01816.jpg... to DSC11208.jpg...

When will this be implemented. Until that the tool is useless for me (only for my use case!). Thanks.

Nice easy utility - only suggestion is that the number feature doesn't work as I would like. It'd be better if it was an option to append the number at the end of the filename, before the extension and the user could specify how many digits to use for the number format.

Help! Core-Renamer looks perfect! Or at lease very much like Renamer4Mac looked before its UI got destroyed. I really want this, but the AppStore says my computer isn't compatible. It says I don't have a 64bit Intel Processor. Which is true, I run an original Intel CoreDuo MacBook. I know I'm out of luck to ever run 10.7, but I would be really sad if Core-Renamer can never run on my trusty old MacBook. I'm currently running SnowLeopard 10.6.8, my processor is a 1.83Ghz CoreDuo, and I have 2GB of RAM. I hope there is a workaround to get Core-Renamer running on my laptop. Thanks!

Hi Chris,
Just downloaded the application and tried it out. Looks good, and I could use a few features more (unless I have just missed how to find them).

1. It would be convenient with a Replace with Indexed String option. From what I understand I can accomplish the same thing in a couple of steps, but it would be good to be able to rename the files by just providing a text template string: "Photo ###", which would turn into "Photo 001", "Photo 002", etc.

2. Add more columns to enable sorting of more kinds of data. And enable reordering of the current ones.

3. Include a column with the original filename.

4. The table resorts as it is renaming the files. It makes it hard to see what was changed. It would be better to allow the files to stay in the same order after renaming, and let the user actively request resorting if needed.

@Andreas: Hm that's odd. What does the App Store say? 32bit is only for PowerPC.
